Cozy, Custom Carpentry

This week, two major projects were completed at our house: our custom master closet (sketch and inspiration here) and our custom breakfast nook (sketch and inspiration here). We couldn’t be more thrilled to have our closet completed and to have our guest bedrooms free of clutter and our belongings and in one space!

What do you think of our new closet?! We had it painted all white and it really makes it look and feel bigger and we kept the inside of the drawers natural wood.

Soon enough it’ll be filled to the brim with clothes and shoes and running apparel and most definitely won’t be looking as crisp and clean!

And here’s the final product of the breakfast nook; doesn’t it add a comfy, cozy feel to the space? The seats open up and offer so much space for storage; welcome to the new home of my cookbook collection! The cushions are in the process of being made at a local upholsterer and I can’t wait to see them in a few weeks (though I wasn’t thrilled how pricey it was especially seeing that I supplied that fabric)!

Bill Whicker of Trim Time Carpentry did an incredible job and was so easy to work with which makes the experience so much more enjoyable! I look forward to showing you the finished product of both the master bedroom and the kitchen with the completed breakfast nook bench!

Thanks for reading and happy 12.12.2012~hope it’s been lucky for you! Cheers, Karla xoxox
